CORIS
The Coral Reef Information System (CORIS) website is managed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). It contains a host of information on coral reef health, community structure and current sources of risk. There is a page detailing deep water corals and a selection of useful links.
HERMES
HERMES is an international, multidisciplinary research programme investigating Europe's deep marine ecosystems and their environment. The HERMES consortium comprises 50 partners including 9 small companies, from 17 European and neighbouring countries. The partners include small and large institutions and both universities and government laboratories. HERMES is therefore one of the largest marine science projects in Europe, and as such has a high profile with a high impact on education of young scientists throughout Europe. From the HERMES homepage there are links to details of research in the various ecosystems within the projects remit, including cold water coral systems.

A great cold water coral resource put together by the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS). collating information on the deep-sea, cold-water coral ecosystems, biodiversity and key species.
